Live Marine Forecast from stations in Azores
Here you can check the current conditions of the ocean in the mid Atlantic. This data is given by a array of buoys stationed close to several of the Azores islands. There are no other know stations delivering live data in this part of the Atlantic ocean.
This data can be very important to determine whether or not vessels can stop in any of the Azores ports or to determine if the route of a vessel should be changed to avoid bad seas.
This data is supplied by the the CLIMAAT project from the University of Azores, which have excellent forecast models and maintain an array of buoys and web cams in the Mid Atlantic suppling live data feed and Marine Forecasts with specializes mathematical models.
